Pacing, pondering, I wonder why
Humans think it's fine to deny
My freedom, my choice, my natural state

If not, then why am I confined?
Wildlife preservation shouldn't mean
Locking life behind a glass screen

I long to leap, to run, to roar
To feel the earth I once explored
Habitat protection is the key
Not bars and cages - just set me free!

Respect the boundaries nature drew
Between the wild and world of you
True conservation means giving space
For each creature to find its place

So hear my plea, oh humankind
Let empathy fill your mind
Don't cage me, don't steal my land
